Nonprofit Grant Writing for Board of Directors and Staff

Training Information

This training is a hands-on approach to grant and proposal management/writing designed to enable and enhance systems thinking in nonprofit organizations (NPOs) no matter the industry or geographic location. Students are guided through the grant writing process predisposed for success from the standpoint of being an organizational champion or intrapreneur. This training will translate theoretical agile and project management skills applicable to nonprofits into practice with turnkey methods and techniques that will help to bust siloes and help working members of nonprofit Board of Directors, staff, and other categories of volunteers demonstrably work more efficiently and effectively within programs/functions and organizations. The tools and techniques shared can be immediately implemented in every grant pursuit. Real-life examples of failures and successes (lessons learned and case studies) will be covered to highlight the learning process. This training is offered live with dynamic and engaging class participation to provide opportunities for participants to practice what they learn.

I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation - the polls and quizzes throughout the presentation challenged me to think critically about the role of Directors in contrast and, sometimes in comparison, to NPO staff and how they unite to support grant writing endeavors. Highly recommend!

I would first like to thank Sister LJ for presenting the grant writing class to the public. She really has a knack for grant writing and is second to none. The class was easy to follow and packed with very relevant information. She is very professional and presents as such. She responded to questions in a very timely and professional manner. Although she had a schedule to follow, she still made sure everyone understood the subject matter before moving on to the next subject. She is extremely patient, professional, tactful, personable, and knows what she’s talking about. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is contemplating taking a course on grant writing.
