Master Grant Writing: A Project Manager’s Guide
by La Juana Chambers Lawson, edited/published by Christopher Herring and River Walk Publishing LLC.

There are many approaches to successful grant writing. There is no one-size-fits-all in successful grant writing. Grant writing is a misnomer; it’s a totally inaccurate and incomplete though really common reference to an entire profession that can only be understood as the sum of several parts. Grant writing involves the mastery of the following parts of the whole:

  • Project management
  • Staging the entity or readying the organization
  • Digital inclusion
  • Collaboration
  • Governance.

This book endeavors to disentangle grant writing with real-life examples of what to do (as well as what not to do) as it relates to pursuing and writing grants.

From the Author

In the real world, effective decision-makers actively hedge their bets to increase their likelihood of success. Pursuing grants is a risky endeavor that usually does not produce gains or rewards that efficiently recover what was invested. This book should be read in advance of pursuing grants, no matter the industry or scope of work, in order to gain a more circumspect, inclusive, and technological perspective of what all grant writing entails from a learned professional and entrepreneur who consults organizations throughout the world to and through success one project at a time.
